Trek Description

Valley of Flowers Trek is one of the most popular and enchanting treks in India. The valley is located in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand and is a part of the Nanda Devi Biosphere Reserve. The trek takes you through a valley filled with colorful flowers, snow-capped mountains, and glistening streams. It is a moderate-level trek, perfect for both novice and experienced trekkers.

Day wise Details and Description

Day 1: Arrival in Haridwar

Arrive in Haridwar and drive to Joshimath. Rest and acclimatize yourself to the high altitude.

Day 2: Joshimath to Govindghat to Ghangaria

Drive to Govindghat and start your trek to Ghangaria. The trail is a moderate ascent through beautiful forests and along the glistening Pushpavati river. Overnight stay in Ghangaria.

Day 3: Ghangaria to Valley of Flowers

Start early in the morning to explore the valley of flowers. The valley is filled with colorful flowers such as blue poppies, Himalayan bellflowers, and Himalayan cobra lilies. The view of the snow-capped mountains from the valley is breathtaking. Overnight stay in Ghangaria.

Day 4: Ghangaria to Hemkund Sahib

Start early in the morning to trek to Hemkund Sahib. The trail is a steep ascent through rocky terrain and offers stunning views of the valley. Hemkund Sahib is a Sikh shrine located at an altitude of 4,329 meters. Overnight stay in Ghangaria.

Day 5: Ghangaria to Govindghat to Joshimath

Trek back to Govindghat and drive to Joshimath. Overnight stay in Joshimath.
