Trek Description

The Kalindi Pass Trek is a challenging and rewarding high-altitude trek that takes you through the remote and picturesque regions of the Indian Himalayas. This trek is recommended for experienced trekkers who are physically fit and have prior experience of high-altitude trekking.

Day wise Details and Description

Day 1: Arrival in Delhi

Our team will pick you up from the Delhi airport and transfer you to a hotel. You can spend the day exploring the city and preparing for the trek.

Day 2: Delhi to Rishikesh (Drive: 6 hours)

After breakfast, we will drive to Rishikesh, a holy city located at the foothills of the Himalayas. We will spend the night in a hotel in Rishikesh.

Day 3: Rishikesh to Gangotri (Drive: 10 hours)

After breakfast, we will drive to Gangotri, a small town located at an altitude of 3,048 meters. The drive takes us through scenic valleys and along the Ganges river.

Day 4: Gangotri to Bhojwasa (Trek: 14 km, 5-6 hours)

Today, we will start our trek to Bhojwasa, a beautiful meadow located at an altitude of 3,800 meters. The trek takes us through dense forests and provides stunning views of the surrounding peaks.

Day 5: Bhojwasa to Nandanvan (Trek: 9 km, 4-5 hours)

After breakfast, we will trek to Nandanvan, a beautiful meadow located at an altitude of 4,440 meters. The trek takes us through rocky terrain and provides stunning views of the Gangotri glacier.

Day 6: Nandanvan to Vasuki Tal (Trek: 9 km, 5-6 hours)

After breakfast, we will trek to Vasuki Tal, a high-altitude lake located at an altitude of 4,800 meters. The trek is challenging and requires prior trekking experience.

Day 7: Rest Day at Vasuki Tal

Today is a rest day at Vasuki Tal. You can spend the day exploring the area and acclimatizing to the high altitude.

Day 8: Vasuki Tal to Khara Pathar (Trek: 7 km, 5-6 hours)

After breakfast, we will trek to Khara Pathar, a beautiful meadow located at an altitude of 5,100 meters. The trek takes us through snow and requires careful navigation.

Day 9: Khara Pathar to Kalindi Base Camp (Trek: 8 km, 6-7 hours)

Today, we will trek to Kalindi Base Camp, located at an altitude of 5,950 meters. The trek is challenging and requires stamina and endurance.

Day 10: Kalindi Pass Crossing (Trek: 16 km, 10-12 hours)

Today is the most challenging day of the trek as we will be crossing the Kalindi Pass, located at an altitude of 5,950 meters. The trek requires careful navigation and may take up to 12 hours to complete.

Day 11: Arwatal to Ghastoli (Trek: 14 km, 5-6 hours)

After breakfast, we will trek to Ghastoli, a beautiful meadow located at an altitude of 3,800 meters. The trek takes us through scenic valleys and provides stunning views of the surrounding peaks.

Day 12: Ghastoli to Mana to Badrinath

Drive from Ghastoli to Mana and then to Badrinath. Overnight stay in a hotel.

Day 13: Badrinath to Dehradun

Drive from Badrinath to Dehradun, which takes around 10-11 hours. Overnight stay in a hotel.

Day 14: Departure from Dehradun

Check-out from the hotel and depart from Dehradun.
