Trek Description

Satopanth Expedition is a challenging trek that takes you to the sacred lake of Satopanth, located in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. The trek is a 21-day, 20-night journey that covers a distance of 58 km and reaches an altitude of 7,075 meters above sea level. The trek is suitable for experienced trekkers who are looking for a challenging adventure in the mountains.

Day wise Details and Description

Day 1: Arrival in Delhi

The first day of the expedition is the arrival in Delhi, where you will meet with the trek leader and the rest of the team. You will spend the day resting and preparing for the trek.

Day 2: Drive to Rishikesh

On the second day, you will drive to Rishikesh, which is a popular town in Uttarakhand. You will spend the day exploring the town and preparing for the trek.

Day 3: Drive to Badrinath (3133 m)

On the third day, you will drive to Badrinath, which is a holy town located at an altitude of 3133 meters above sea level. You will spend the day exploring the town and visiting the famous Badrinath Temple.

Day 4: Acclimatization Day

The fourth day is an acclimatization day in Badrinath, where you will rest and acclimatize to the high altitude.

Day 5: Trek to Laxmi Van (3500 m)

On the fifth day, you will start the trek from Badrinath to Laxmi Van, which is a beautiful campsite located at an altitude of 3500 meters above sea level.

Day 6: Trek to Chakratirth (3700 m)

On the sixth day, you will trek to Chakratirth, which is a beautiful campsite located at an altitude of 3700 meters above sea level.

Day 7: Trek to Satopanth Base Camp (4330 m)

On the seventh day, you will trek to the Satopanth Base Camp, which is located at an altitude of 4330 meters above sea level. The base camp offers stunning views of the surrounding peaks and is a perfect place to rest and acclimatize.

Day 8: Rest Day

The eighth day is a rest day at the Satopanth Base Camp, where you will rest and acclimatize to the high altitude.

Day 9: Trek to Satopanth Lake (4575 m)

On the ninth day, you will start the trek to Satopanth Lake, which is located at an altitude of 4575 meters above sea level. The lake is considered holy by the locals and is surrounded by snow-capped peaks.

Day 10: Trek to Swargarohini Base Camp (5200 m)

On the tenth day, you will trek to the Swargarohini Base Camp, which is located at an altitude of 5200 meters above sea level. The base camp offers stunning views of the surrounding peaks and is a perfect place to rest and acclimatize.

Day 11: Rest Day

The eleventh day is a rest day at the Swargarohini Base Camp, where you will rest and acclimatize to the high altitude.

Day 12: Trek to Swargarohini Summit (6252 m) and back to Base Camp

On the twelfth day, you will start the trek to the Swargarohini Summit, which is located at an altitude of 6252 meters above sea level. The summit offers stunning views of the surrounding peaks and is a challenging climb that requires some level of fitness.

Day 13-19: Trek back to Badrinath

After successfully completing the Satopanth Expedition, you will trek back to Badrinath following the same route. The trek back will take you through the beautiful meadows, glaciers, and valleys of the Himalayas. You will camp at different sites and enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding peaks.

Day 20: Drive to Rishikesh

On the twentieth day, you will drive back to Rishikesh from Badrinath. You will spend the day relaxing and enjoying the beautiful town.

Day 21: Departure from Delhi

On the final day of the expedition, you will depart from Rishikesh to Delhi. You will bid farewell to the team and take back with you the memories of a lifetime.
