Trek Description

Shivling Peak Expedition is a dream trek for every adventure enthusiast who wants to test their physical and mental strength by conquering one of the most challenging peaks in the Indian Himalayas. The Shivling Peak is located in the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand, and the expedition takes you through some of the most stunning landscapes and panoramic views of the Himalayan ranges.

Day wise Details and Description

Day 1: Arrival in Delhi

Upon arrival in Delhi, you will be received by our representative and transferred to the hotel. You will have the day to rest and prepare for the trek.

Day 2: Delhi to Rishikesh (Drive: 6 hours)

We will start our journey from Delhi to Rishikesh, which is the starting point of the trek. The drive takes around 6 hours, and we will reach Rishikesh in the evening. We will stay overnight in a hotel in Rishikesh.

Day 3: Rishikesh to Gangotri (Drive: 10-11 hours)

We will start our journey early in the morning from Rishikesh to Gangotri. The drive takes around 10-11 hours, and we will pass through beautiful villages and scenic landscapes. Upon arrival, we will check-in at a guest house and rest for the night.

Day 4: Acclimatization Day in Gangotri

We will spend the day acclimatizing to the high altitude and exploring the beautiful Gangotri town. We will visit the Gangotri temple and nearby attractions.

Day 5: Gangotri to Bhojbasa (Trek: 14 km/ 6-7 hours)

After breakfast, we will start our trek from Gangotri to Bhojbasa. The trail passes through beautiful forests and meadows, and we will have our first glimpse of the Shivling peak. We will camp overnight in Bhojbasa.

Day 6: Bhojbasa to Gaumukh to Tapovan (Trek: 9 km/ 5-6 hours)

We will start our trek early in the morning and head towards the Gaumukh glacier, which is the source of the river Ganga. From there, we will continue our ascent towards Tapovan, which is a beautiful meadow located at an altitude of 4,463 meters. We will camp overnight in Tapovan.

Day 7-20: Summit Attempt and Descend

The next 14 days will be dedicated to summiting the Shivling peak. We will follow a rigorous routine of climbing, resting, and acclimatizing to the high altitude. The trek involves technical climbing, and we will have the support of experienced guides and porters. Upon successful summiting, we will start our descent towards Gangotri.

Day 21: Gangotri to Rishikesh (Drive: 10-11 hours)

After breakfast, we will start our journey back to Rishikesh. The drive takes around 10-11 hours, and we will reach Rishikesh in the evening. We will stay overnight in a hotel in Rishikesh.

Day 22: Rishikesh to Delhi (Drive: 6 hours)

We will start our journey back to Delhi in the morning. The drive takes around 6 hours, and we will reach Delhi by mid-day. We will stay overnight in a hotel in Delhi.

Day 23: Departure

You will have the day to rest and prepare for your departure. Our representative will transfer you to the airport for your flight back home.
