Tulian Lake Trek is a mesmerizing adventure that takes you on a journey through the beautiful landscapes of the Kashmir Valley to reach the stunning Tulian Lake, also known as Tarsar Lake. Situated at an altitude of 3,830 meters, the emerald green lake is surrounded by snow-capped peaks, alpine meadows, and dense forests of pine and fir trees. The trek is an ideal getaway for those seeking a tranquil escape amidst nature`s serene beauty. From Sheeshnag, the trail ascends to the Tarsar Pass, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. The trail then descends towards the Tulian Lake, nestled amidst the high mountains and lush meadows. After spending some time by the lake, the trek retraces back to Aru, passing through the same route.
The car will be provided from Srinagar, and it will take 2 to 3 hours to go the 100 kilometres to Pahalgam. Pahalgam, a popular tourist destination in Jammu and Kashmir, is situated on the banks of the Lidder River. Go there and have a good night's sleep.
Acclimatize today, then discover the lovely valley. You must cross through the woodlands to get to Baisaran. On the route, pass via Bakkarwals; it is a hamlet of shepherds.
Today, proceed to the base camp at Tulian Lake. Climb through bear habitat and the thick alpine trees. Every turn on the path is a pleasant surprise, making it a worthwhile journey.
The five kilometres (km) between Tulian Marg campground and Tulian Lake may be travelled in three hours. Reach the top of the valley for the first glimpse of the lake by navigating boulder walls and loose boulders.
Descend through the alpine forest highly rich in vegetation. Shrubs, bushes, herbs and trees grow there. Keep walking until you reach Kanimool.
Post breakfast, leave Kanimool and get down to Pahalgam, the descent is easy and relaxing one through dense forest and meadows to Pahalgam.
