Trek Description

Thajiwas Glacier is a beautiful glacier located 7 km from the Sonamarg town. The trek starts from Sonamarg, which is at an altitude of 2,740 meters. As you start walking, you will see the stunning views of the valley, lush green meadows, and snow-covered peaks. The trail is adorned with pine trees and meadows, which make the trekking experience even more enchanting. After a trek of around 2 km, you will reach the beautiful Thajiwas Glacier. The glacier is located at an altitude of 3,500 meters and is surrounded by snow-covered peaks. The glacier is one of the main sources of water for the Sindh River, which flows through the Sonamarg Valley. Thajiwas Glacier Trek is a perfect option for a short and peaceful getaway. The trek offers stunning views of the valley, lush green meadows, and snow-covered peaks. It is an easy to moderate trek and can be done by beginners. Day wise Details and Description

Day 1: Srinagar to Sonamarg (3 hours)

On the first day, you will be picked up from Srinagar and driven to Sonamarg. Check-in to the hotel, and rest for a while. Spend the rest of the day exploring the town of Sonamarg.

Day 2: Sonamarg to Thajiwas Glacier and back (6-7 hours)

On the second day, after breakfast, start your trek to Thajiwas Glacier. The trek will take around 3-4 hours to reach the glacier. After exploring the glacier, trek back to Sonamarg.

Day 3: Sonamarg to Srinagar (3 hours)

On the third day, after breakfast, drive back to Srinagar.
