Trek Description

The Sunderdhunga trek is a moderate level trek, with a maximum altitude of 14,000 feet. The trek offers breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks, including Mrigthuni, Maiktoli, and Panwali Dwar. The trek route takes you through dense forests, alpine meadows, and glacial streams. The trail also passes through quaint villages where you can experience the local culture.

Day wise Details and Description

Day 1: Kathgodam railway station to Dharchula (290km) (10/11 Hours)

Pick up to you from Kathgodam railway station to Dharchula (290km) (10/11 Hours) overnight stay Hotel.

Day 2: Dharchula to Dar road head (26 km)

Drive from Dharchula – Dar road head (26 km) same day Trek to – Urthing. (07 km). Overnight stay camp.

Day 3: Urthing to Naagling (10 km) (4/5 Hours)

Trekking from Urthing to Naagling takes four to five hours, with an overnight camp stop.

Day 4: Naagling Son camp (11 km) (5/6 Hours)

Trekking (5–6 hours) from Naagling Son Camp (11 km). Spend the night camping.

Day 5: Son camp to Panchachuli Base Camp (05km) (4/5 Hours)

Trekking from Son Camp to Panchachuli Base Camp takes 4 to 5 hours over 5 kilometres (4260 meters). Camping overnight.

Day 6: Panchachuli Base Camp- Naagling.(16 km) (6/7 Hours)

Naagling Trek from Panchachuli Base Camp. (6/7 hours) 16 km. Spend the night camping.

Day 7: Naagling to Urthing camp (10 km) (5/6 Hours)

Trekking takes 5 to 6 hours to cover the 10 km to Urthing Camp. camping for one night.

Day 8: Urthing to Dar road head (07 km)

From Urthing, hike to the Dar roadhead (07 km) 2/3-hour trip back to Dharchula on the same day. (26 km) A hotel night is spent.

Day 9: Dharchula to Kathgodam via Almora (290km) (10/11 Hours)

Drive from Dharchula to Kathgodam via Almora (290km) (10/11 Hours) overnight.
