The Stok Kangri Trek is a thrilling and challenging trek in the beautiful Ladakh region of India. The trek takes you to the summit of Stok Kangri, which is one of the highest peaks in the region at an altitude of 20,080 feet. The trek can be completed in 8 days and 7 nights and requires a good level of physical fitness and prior high altitude trekking experience.
After breakfast today and on subsequent days of the trek, you will see some picturesque places in Leh that are no less than heaven. Enjoy the scenic drive to Stok village through beautiful green trees and exotic scenery.
This trek takes you through Ladakh's desolate landscapes. Begin the trek in Chang Ma and walk along the river, passing through a cold deserted area while crossing small clear streams. Set up camp at Mankorma and call it a night.
The base camp is a grassy field with many streams and small lakes; the views from the upper side of the campsite are clear; go there and enjoy the views of Parcha Kangri and Gulab Kangri, as well as many other rising peaks.
Today you can explore the surrounding areas and prepare for a difficult trek. Be aware of the weather conditions, and the guides will inform you about the trail and technical equipment.
Get up early to begin the climb. With your technical sport, you can reach the peak of Stok Kangri. Today is the main day of your trek, so get up at 4:30 a.m. to see the sunrise from Stok Kangri summit. Nothing beats watching the sunrise from the summit because the views are breathtaking. Anyone who watches it is mesmerised.
I hope all trekkers leave the base camp with positive experiences and memories, as today is the last day of this trek. Look at the stunning snow-capped mountains and high towering peaks before beginning your trek from base camp to Stok village.
