The Pangarchulla Peak Trek is a popular trekking expedition in the Garhwal Himalayas, offering stunning views of snow-capped peaks, glaciers, and alpine meadows. The peak is situated at an altitude of 4,700 meters and is a challenging climb, making it a favorite among experienced trekkers.
On the first day of the trek, we will arrive in Joshimath and stay overnight in a guesthouse. We will meet our trekking guide and other team members who will accompany us on the trek.
After breakfast, we will drive to Dhak village, which is the starting point of the trek. We will trek to Guling Top, which is situated at an altitude of 2,450 meters. The trek will take around 5-6 hours and we will stay overnight in a camp.
On day 3, we will trek to Khullara, which is situated at an altitude of 3,350 meters. The trek will take around 6-7 hours and we will pass through dense forests of oak and rhododendron. We will stay overnight in a camp.
On day 4, we will trek to the Pangarchulla Base Camp, which is situated at an altitude of 3,800 meters. The trek will take around 4-5 hours and we will pass through alpine meadows and streams. We will stay overnight in a camp.
On day 5, we will start early in the morning and trek to the summit of Pangarchulla Peak, which is situated at an altitude of 4,700 meters. The trek will take around 7-8 hours and will be challenging due to the steep ascent. We will enjoy stunning views of the surrounding peaks from the summit and then trek back to the base camp.
On day 6, we will trek downhill to Auli, which is a popular skiing destination in the Garhwal Himalayas. From Auli, we will drive back to Joshimath, where we will stay overnight in a guesthouse.
On the final day of the trek, we will depart from Joshimath and head back to our respective destinations.
