Trek Description

Nandanvan Trek is one of the most scenic treks in the Indian Himalayas, situated in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand. The trek takes you through the beautiful valleys, dense forests, and serene meadows of the region. The highlight of the trek is the Nandanvan meadow, which offers a stunning view of the Shivling peak, one of the tallest mountains in the region. This trek is perfect for those who are looking for an adventure in the lap of nature.

Day wise Details and Description

Day 1: Haridwar to Gangotri (Drive 250 km, 10 hrs)

The journey starts from Haridwar, where you will meet our team and board a vehicle to Gangotri, the starting point of the trek. The drive will take approximately 10 hours, and you will get to see the beautiful landscapes of Uttarakhand along the way. Overnight stay at Gangotri.

Day 2: Gangotri to Bhoj Kharak (12 km trek, 6-7 hrs)

The trek starts from Gangotri, and you will walk along the Bhagirathi river to reach Chirbasa, which is around 5 km from Gangotri. From there, you will trek through dense forests and beautiful meadows to reach Bhoj Kharak. Overnight stay at Bhoj Kharak.

Day 3: Bhoj Kharak to Tapovan (8 km trek, 4-5 hrs)

The trek to Tapovan is relatively short but steep. You will pass through beautiful meadows and glacier moraines to reach Tapovan. On the way, you will get a stunning view of the Shivling peak. Overnight stay at Tapovan.

Day 4: Tapovan to Nandanvan (6 km trek, 3-4 hrs)

The trek to Nandanvan is relatively short and easy. You will walk along the Gangotri glacier to reach the beautiful meadow of Nandanvan. The view of the surrounding peaks from Nandanvan is breathtaking. Overnight stay at Nandanvan.

Day 5: Nandanvan to Vasuki Tal (5 km trek, 4-5 hrs)

The trek to Vasuki Tal is challenging and involves a steep climb. You will pass through the beautiful meadows of Nandanvan to reach Vasuki Tal, a high-altitude lake surrounded by mountains. Overnight stay at Vasuki Tal.

Day 6: Vasuki Tal to Kedarnath (8 km trek, 6-7 hrs)

The trek to Kedarnath involves a steep descent. You will pass through beautiful forests and meadows to reach Kedarnath, a famous pilgrimage site and the end point of the trek. Overnight stay at Kedarnath.

Day 7: Kedarnath to Gaurikund to Haridwar (Drive 250 km, 10 hrs)

After breakfast, you will board a vehicle to Gaurikund, the starting point of the trek to Kedarnath. From Gaurikund, you will drive back to Haridwar. Overnight stay at Haridwar.

Day 8: Departure

After breakfast, you will be dropped off at Haridwar railway station for your onward journey.
