The Mukta Top Trek is a moderate to difficult trek that takes you to an altitude of 3800 meters. The trek starts from Sari Village and takes you through dense forests, scenic meadows, and glacial lakes. The highlight of the trek is the Mukta Top, which is a vantage point that offers stunning views of the Himalayas. The trek is a loop trek, which means you start and end at the same point. The total trek distance is around 34 km, and it takes around 6 days to complete the trek.
The first day of the trek is the day of arrival. You will need to reach Dehradun by morning and then take a taxi to Sari Village. The drive is around 8-9 hours, and you will reach Sari Village by late afternoon. You will stay at a guesthouse in Sari Village for the night.
The trek starts from Sari Village and takes you to Deoriatal, which is a beautiful lake surrounded by forests. The trek is relatively easy and takes around 1 hour to complete. You will camp at Deoriatal for the night.
On the third day of the trek, you will start your journey towards Chopta. The trail takes you through beautiful meadows and small streams. You will also get to see some breathtaking views of the Himalayas on the way. After trekking for around 5-6 hours, you will reach Chopta, where you will camp for the night.
On the fourth day of the trek, you will start your journey towards Tungnath, which is the highest Shiva temple in the world. After visiting the temple, you will trek to Chandrashila, which is a vantage point that offers stunning views of the Himalayas. You will camp at Chandrashila for the night.
On the fifth day of the trek, you will start your journey back to Sari Village. The trail takes you through the same route that you took on the previous days. You will trek for around 7-8 hours and reach Sari Village, where you will stay at a guesthouse for the night.
On the sixth and final day of the trek, you will start your journey back to Dehradun. You will need to leave early in the morning to reach Dehradun by evening. You will bid farewell to your fellow trekkers and the beautiful mountains.
