Trek Description

Kashmir Great Lakes Trek is one of the most beautiful treks in India, situated in the picturesque Kashmir Valley. The trek offers stunning views of high altitude alpine lakes, snow-capped mountains, and lush green meadows. The trail passes through some of the most scenic valleys of Kashmir, making it a must-do trek for any adventure enthusiast. The trek starts from Sonamarg, a popular tourist destination situated on the banks of river Sindh. From Sonamarg, the trail ascends through thick forests of pine and maple trees to reach Nichnai Pass. After crossing the pass, the trail descends to the beautiful meadow of Vishansar, which is surrounded by towering mountains. From Vishansar, the trail continues to Gadsar Lake, which is famous for its turquoise blue water. The trek then passes through the beautiful valley of Satsar and Gangbal Lake before ending at Naranag.

Day 1: Arrival in Srinagar

Transfer to Sonamarg. Overnight stay in Sonamarg

Day 2: Sonamarg to Nichnai

Trek from Sonamarg to Nichnai. Overnight stay in tents

Day 3: Nichnai to Vishansar Lake

Trek from Nichnai to Vishansar Lake via Nichnai Pass. Overnight stay in tents

Day 4: Vishansar Lake to Gadsar Lake

Trek from Vishansar Lake to Gadsar Lake via Kishansar Lake and Gadsar Pass. Overnight stay in tents

Day 5: Gadsar to Satsar

Trek from Gadsar to Satsar. Overnight stay in tents

Day 6: Satsar to Gangbal Lake

Trek from Satsar to Gangbal Lake via Zajibal Pass. Overnight stay in tents

Day 7: Gangbal Lake to Naranag

Trek from Gangbal Lake to Naranag. Overnight stay in tents

Day 8: Departure from Srinagar

Transfer to Srinagar. Departure
