Deoriatal Chandrashila Trek is a popular trek in the Indian state of Uttarakhand, which takes you to the beautiful Deoriatal Lake and the summit of Chandrashila Peak. The trek offers stunning views of the Himalayan peaks and takes you through dense forests of oak and rhododendron trees.
The trek starts from Sari Village, which is about 210 km from Haridwar and takes around 8-9 hours to complete. Reach Sari Village by evening and stay overnight in a guest house or homestay.
On the second day, start the trek to Deoriatal, which is about 3 km long and takes around 2-3 hours to complete. The trail passes through dense forests of oak and rhododendron trees, offering stunning views of the surrounding mountains. Stay overnight in tents or guest house.
On the third day, start the trek to Chopta, which is about 14 km long and takes around 5-6 hours to complete. The trail passes through beautiful meadows and offers panoramic views of the Himalayan peaks. Stay overnight in tents or guest house.
On the fourth day, start the trek to Tungnath and Chandrashila, which is about 5 km long and takes around 3-4 hours to complete. The trail passes through dense forests of oak and rhododendron trees, offering stunning views of the surrounding mountains. Reach Tungnath, which is the highest Shiva temple in the world, and then trek to the summit of Chandrashila Peak, which offers breathtaking views of the Himalayan peaks. Stay overnight in tents or guest house.
On the fifth day, trek back to Chopta and then drive back to Haridwar, which is about 210 km long and takes around 8-9 hours to complete. Reach Haridwar by evening and depart for your next destination.
