Chopta Tungnath and Chandrashila Trek is a popular trekking destination in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. It is a moderate level trek, suitable for beginners as well as experienced trekkers. The trek offers breathtaking views of the Himalayan peaks and lush green valleys, making it a perfect getaway for nature lovers.
You will be picked up at 6:30 am from the Dehradun railway station and driven the 202 km (8/9 hours) to Chopta, where you will spend the night at a Swiss Camp.
Today is a day of rest and acclimatisation in Uttarakhand, which includes visiting Chopta or Deorital.
Trek from Chopta in the early morning to the summit of Tungnath Chandrashila Peak (3,690 metres, 12,083 feet), and then return (10 km) in 6–7 hours to Chopta camp.
You will arrive in Rishikesh Dehradun between 6:30 and 7:30 pm if you travel the 202 km (8/9 hours) from Chopta to Dehradun.
